ReelPlans
Years old
Countries
I'm 17 years old and have lived in many places around the world. Over 60 countries. Dozens of communities. Countless friendships formed in languages I had to learn on the fly. I didn't grow up traveling. I grew up living abroad, and there's a real difference.
Along the way, something kept happening. I'd stumble across a hidden waterfall on Instagram, a tiny restaurant tucked into a side street, a local market that only ran on Sundays, a hiking trail that nobody outside the village seemed to know about. I wanted to save them. Not just screenshot them and forget. Actually save them somewhere meaningful, somewhere I could come back to.
Because I did come back. Many of those 60 countries I visited more than once. And when I did, I wanted those moments I'd saved to be waiting for me, ready to become real plans.
That's why I built ReelPlans.
"I didn't want a travel planner. I wanted a place to catch inspiration before it disappeared, and turn it into something real."
Sofia Roberts Colmenero
ReelPlans isn't designed to be a traditional travel planner. It's a place to capture anything that inspires you: a restaurant you spotted online, an activity a friend mentioned, a destination that gave you that feeling. Those saves can become a night out with friends, a weekend itinerary, or yes, a full blown trip across the world. The scope is entirely yours.
Right now, I'm starting with Instagram, the place where so much of my own inspiration lived. But ReelPlans will expand from there: other social platforms, web pages, things you photograph yourself, places you hear about in conversation. Anywhere inspiration lives, ReelPlans will be there to catch it.
I'm excited to share it. And equally excited to keep using it myself.
"The world is too big to wait for later. Go now, figure it out when you get there."
